Salary: $131,000 - 161,000 per year Requirements:

• I am looking for a highly qualified Sr. Network Architect with a minimum of 15 years of experience in networking, both in datacenters and remote offices, particularly in leading complex network projects. Ideal candidates must possess advanced knowledge in Cisco routing and switching, as well as have extensive experience with Carrier Neutral Facilities (CNF) and virtualization technologies. Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco Viptela, firewalls (including Palo Alto), network security infrastructure, and troubleshooting network performance issues is essential.
• Candidates should demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken, allowing effective interaction with business and technical leaders. A solid understanding of security controls, regulatory compliance, and cloud networking technologies (like AWS and Azure) will be beneficial. Technical certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or Cisco (CNP, CCIE) are preferred, as well as proficiency in Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities:

• As the Sr. Network Architect, I will require you to design and implement comprehensive network solutions utilizing Cisco technologies, focusing primarily on Switching & Routing and Cisco Catalyst SDWAN (Viptela). You will be responsible for producing high-quality Low-Level Designs for network and security, ensuring implementation aligns with the required technical standards. Your role will involve hands-on configuration of networking equipment and managing specific devices while working collaboratively within a team to achieve project deadlines.
• You will assume ownership of assigned tasks and make key design decisions to fulfill client requirements. Your responsibilities will also encompass leading complex technical projects, managing project timelines, and overseeing the overall architecture of networking projects. Additionally, you will conduct network performance assessments, engage in bandwidth management and optimization, and perform troubleshooting as necessary.

This position is located in Chicago, IL, and requires you to work in the office during day shifts. The annual salary for this role ranges from $131,000 to $161,000, depending on experience and qualifications. You will also be eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards based on your performance.
